VIRUS FILTER INFORMATION
ALL incoming email sent to email addresses ending with 1) caveland.net 2) kyconnection.com or 3) horsecave.com, is Virus scanned by our email server prior to being delivered to you. While we use a very effective anti-virus software package, we STRONGLY advise all of our customers to maintain an up to date virus scanner on your own computer as well. Our virus scanner only scans incoming email, and does NOT protect you against attacks from infected web pages. For those customers that use other email systems such as Hotmail or Yahoo mail for example, our virus scanner does NOT scan your Yahoo or Hotmail email.
SPAM FILTER INFORMATION
To log into the new combined WebMail - Spam Quarantine system, click the EMAIL link on the left menu. Enter your email address into the top line, and your password in the second line, and click LOGIN
Once logged in, you will see several folders. INBOX This is the folder that new email that is NOT flagged as spam is delivered. For those of you that use Outlook Express, IncrediMail, or any other email program, only items that are in the WebMail Inbox will be downloaded to your computer when you hit the Send/Recieve button.
SPAM This is the folder where email tagged as SPAM will be delivered to. (NOTE This will only appear once you have recieved at least one email tagged as possible spam. If you do not see this folder, you have not yet recieved an email tagged as being spam.) Items remaining in this folder can only be read from the web page, and CANNOT be downloaded to your computer using Outlook Express, IncrediMail or any other email program until you move them to the WebMail Inbox. Any email in this folder that you wish to keep, place a check mark in the box next to each desired item. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and you will see a couple different buttons. Set the drop down box to "INBOX", and click the "GO" button. The selected messages will now be located in the WebMail Inbox, and can be downloaded into Outlook Express or any other email program.
To delete items in the Spam folder that you do NOT wish to keep, simply put a checkmark next to each email that you wish to delete. If you wish to delete ALL items shown, put a check next to Select All Shown at the bottom of the list. After selecting messages to delete, click the Delete button at the bottom.
TRASH This is where the email you have deleted goes. YOU MUST EMPTY THIS FOLDER OFTEN! ALL of our users have a maximum email storage limit on our server of 10 Mb. Items that are in the Trash folder do count towards this limit. Once you have finished moving email you wish to keep to the Inbox, and deleting email that you wish to discard, go to the Trash folder. Scroll all the way down, and put a check next to "Select All Shown", and then click on the "Purge" button. You may have to repeat this step if you have more than one page of Trash in the Trash folder.
For those that use Outlook Express, IncrediMail, or other email programs to download your email onto your computer, once you have finished moving email that you wish to keep out of the Spam folder, and deleting the items you wish to trash, you can log out of WebMail, open your email program, and click Send/Recieve to download your email.
